The Medicine of Love
As long as you and me shall live, the one sure thing my soul and yours can’t live without is love. Like the food and water our bodies need, our hearts and minds need love. It is no exaggeration to say that the vast majority of our lives are spent in the pursuit of love; loving and being loved. Yes, even the busy, the heart-hardened, the selfish, the callous, and the criminal among us is in a constant pursuit of loving and being loved.
Where are you in the pursuit of love?
How are you faring in your pursuit?
Many fight for love, steal and get into massive debts for it, and some even kill and destroy their lives and that of others in the pursuit of love. Yet, some others who return empty handed in their love- finding journey, might plunge into despair, depression, loneliness, fear, anger, addictions, and guilt (depending how low one goes in his/her pursuit)
Plunging into Chaos
Failing to find the delightful fruits of love in the fields of life is what predisposes many to plunge into the chaos of wrong relationships, dependencies, addictions, and uncontrollable emotional turmoil, rage, and fears. We risk plunging into such chaos at a certain tipping point in our lives. That tipping point preceding this plunge occurs when our soul’s level of thirst for love, and need for acceptance, hope, value, companionship, intimacy, and security reach its zenith, and a maximum critical level.
Have you plunged because of your soul’s thirst and hunger onto a messy chaos in pursuit of love?
Unconditional love is foundational to our lives. Diving and embracing real, trustworthy, kind, caring and genuine unconditional love in our lives is healing just like good medicine. Such love humbly protects, engulfs and reaches out to us at our worst and foolishest moments just as it embraces us at our best and greatest ones.
So friend, how do we break free from the prison cell of chaos in our lives with the medicine of love?
And,
where can we find true, humble, unconditional and medicinal love that can be fully trusted, believed, and pursued?
